Cottage School Reopens as Home to CARE Program

CARE, SUMFUN programs now located at Cottage School, 255 E. Stillwater Avenue.

The membership portal is now open for the 2022-2023 CARE Afterschool Program.

If you are interested in registering your child for the program, please visit our online registration website at churchillcountyrecreation.org. Go to memberships and select CARE.

At this time you only need to fill out the paperwork portion by creating a membership for your child with the $5.00 registration fee. The payment portal to select actual days attending the program will open in August.

Program Information

Churchill County Parks and Recreation is proud to offer the SUMFUN Summer Day Camp Program. SUMFUN is a full summer of day camp running June through August. Camp is open to youth 6 to 12 years of age from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each week includes a theme, snacks, games, activities, crafts, field trips and swimming.

SUMFUN goes swimming 2-3 times per week. If you have any questions regarding swimming, please feel free to contact our office at (775) 423-7733 or the Aquatic Center at (775) 423-7091.

Pre-registration for each week is required
Registration opens each year the first week of May.
$85 per week 
$25 per day drop-in rate dependant on space available
$15 one-time registration fee (includes a SUMFUN T-shirt)

Financial Assistance (PDF) is available through the Children’s Cabinet and Churchill County Social Services to those who qualify.
