Churchill County, in conjunction with the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health, is offering free drive-through flu shots at the fairgrounds on Dec. 8 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Seasonal flu shots are recommended for anyone over the age of 6 months including persons ages 65 and up.
“Nationally, there is limited amount of the high-dosage flu shot available, so the State of Nevada recommends providing the regular dosage to those 65 and older to ensure they obtain the flu vaccine,” explained Shannon Ernst, social services director for Churchill County.
You may also be tested for COVID while getting your flu shot at the fairgrounds on Dec. 8. Please call (775)423-6695, option 2 and leave your name and number. Staff will return the call to get you scheduled for your COVID test.
There is no need to schedule an appointment if you are just getting the flu shot on Dec. 8.
