The Churchill County Board of Health and County Commissioners approved a re-opening plan that was sent to the Governor’s office for review on April 22 with an expected re-opening date of May 1.
While the state's mask mandate remains in effect, social distancing and capacity limits are dropped in most settings. Individual businesses subject to governing boards (gaming, salons, etc.) remain subject to the regulations of those boards.
In an effort to protect the health of our population and work toward herd immunity, Churchill County continues to offer free vaccines to those 18 and older on a weekly basis at its vaccine and testing site on Miner's Road off Highway 95 south. Vaccines (first and second doses) are being offered today, April 22 until 3 p.m. Please bring a photo ID. Testing is also offered during this same timeframe today.
