The creation of Central Nevada Health District was approved by the State of Nevada Board of Health on December 2, 2022 as the third district approved in the state of Nevada and the first to serve rural communities.
As of July 1, 2023, the health district implemented services including public health nursing, disease investigation and prevention, public health preparedness, and environmental health in Churchill County, including the City of Fallon, Mineral County, Pershing County and Eureka County.
